What is Yggdrasil?
Yggdrasil is a central part of Norse mythology. It is the Tree of Life, linking all nine realms of the Norse cosmos. It is an ash tree in which the worlds of the gods and humans interconnect through its branches and roots. The name Yggdrasil is derived from Yggr (Odin) and drasill (horse), potentially meaning ''Tree of the Horse of Odin.'' Odin was the most prominent Norse god and was said to traverse Yggdrasil on his horse, Sleipnir. The pronunciation of ''Yggdrasil'' is ''IG-drah-sill'' and though written differently than many English words, it is not difficult to pronounce.
Who are Huginn and Muninn?
The iconic Norse mythological figures Huginn ("thought") and Muninn ("memory") are represented as a pair of ravens flying to and from the world of Midgard, delivering information to the god Odin.
